Global Green School Makeover Competition

One of my many goals in life is to become a Childhood Education Teacher. So, when I received this email, from influenster about Puerology's Green School Makeover Competition, I knew that it was something I would be interested in sharing with you guys. If I was teaching right now, I would enter "my school" in this competition.

Every child deserves a learning environment that’s safe, healthy, free of harmful toxins and optimal for learning. Unfortunately, many schools across the country are subjecting children to unhealthy classrooms with poor lighting and inefficient energy usage, which costs most schools more money than they spend on books and computers. Global Green USA is working to change this by helping to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn in a healthier, greener school. Pureology is pleased to present Global Green USA’s Green School Makeover Competition. You can help a school in your area by nominating it for a Green School Makeover – read on to learn more, and find out how.
  • From March 1 – September 30, 2011, enter your school for a chance to win a "green school" makeover.
  • There will be one grand prize winner and four schools will each receive $2,500 towards their green school renovations
  • Watch today's Special Flava Tunes video for additional information
  • Please visit www.pureology.com/greenschools to enter the contest
Please pass on the information.
I know this post is not food, or music related, but it is important. If I can spread awareness, by posting information on the site, than I will go off the beaten path from time to time.

Bloggers who feature Global Green USA's Green School Makeover Competition presented by Pureology will receive a "Naturals Voxbox" which will include skincare and cosmetic products. However, this is not my reason for posting. I do not need to receive anything. I want to help!

Q: What are your thoughts on "Green Schools"? Should all schools go "Green"?
